One more step.
A confirmation email is on its way.
The Brick n' Mortar Daily uses double opt-in, which means a confirmation link arrives by email before the first issue. The reason for the extra step is simple: it keeps the list honest. A typo in an email address never lands a stranger on the list, and a real reader confirms once and never again.
What to do now
- Open the inbox for the address you entered.
- Look for an email from Joseph Gomez, sender name “The Brick n' Mortar Daily”, with the subject “Confirm your subscription”. It usually arrives within a minute. The From address is the publication's editor mailbox at Paper St Marketing.
- Click the confirmation link inside that email. The list adds the address only after the click.
- Tomorrow morning the first issue lands before seven a.m. Pacific.
If the email did not arrive
Check the promotions tab or the spam folder; double opt-in confirmations land there more often than they should. If after ten minutes nothing has arrived, the address may have been mistyped. Return to /daily/ and re-enter it. If the second attempt also fails, email the editor directly at [email protected] and the address will be added by hand.
What happens after you confirm
The publication runs Monday through Saturday, before seven a.m. Pacific. Sunday is rest most weeks. The full slot calendar is on the masthead. The corrections log is at /news/corrections/ and the editorial governance summary is at /about/how-this-is-made/.
